2012 update

Hello friends! I apologize for being m.i.a. for such a long time, but this is an update to let you know that it is likely I will no longer be posting on this particular blog. I have a new blog up, Let's Go Go Fly a Kite, that is more inclusive of everything that I am interested in. This will, of course, still include food.

All of the recipes that are here on Sylvicakes will remain here for those who are still looking around, though I have also transferred them to the new space. Although there isn't much, please feel free to continue browsing through the posts here and definitely stop by to check out the new space.

Ahh Valentine's Day...whether you love it, dread it, or believe it to be a Hallmark-manufactured holiday, there surely is no avoiding the love that's in the air. Personally, I don't have any particular affinity nor qualms towards this holiday, but I do love having a great occasion for making heart-shaped desserts. Of course, my favorite thing about making these whoopie pies (besides eating them) was sharing them!
